Goal of the game
Unmask the impostor before they guess the word. If you are the impostor: blend in, or guess the secret word.
4S4F IMPOSTEUR rules
- Everyone gets the same secret word (say "Pizza") except one player: the impostor, who only knows the theme ("Food").
- Taking turns, each player gives a clue: one word about the secret word, without saying it. There are 2 rounds of clues (the host can choose 1 to 3).
- Then discuss in the chat or by voice, and vote for who you think the impostor is.
- Every player who voted for the real impostor scores 1 point, even if the impostor gets away.
- If the most-voted player isn't the impostor, or there's a tie, the impostor wins the round (3 points).
- If caught, the impostor gets one last chance: guess the secret word for 2 points; otherwise every player scores 1 more point.
- A new impostor is drawn each round. After the last round, the most points wins.
- "Close word" variant: the impostor gets a similar word (Pizza / Burger) and doesn't even know they're the impostor!
Tips
- Give a clue that helps your allies, but not too much: the impostor is listening.
- Impostor? Stay vague at first, then use the others' clues to aim right.
